Need a Break

Kyle has been out of town for about a week. I've done pretty well as a single parent - I even took the girls on a trip to a friend's farm for a few days. And they have been sick on and off. But I'm really really really ready for Kyle to come home. I need a mommy-break!
I'm taking the girls and Mitch to our farm this weekend and Kyle is going to the men's church retreat. I'm looking forward to the trip and excited about seeing the Anderson crew, but I may have to escape to Abilene for a few hours just to get my break!!

Sweet Moment

I was driving to the gym and a kid's Christian CD was playing. From the backseat I hear Maggie singing along to "I want to be a Christian in my heart". She sang all the verses! I had a smile on my face throughout my workout just thinking about how precious she is to me! I love my little girl. Now, I need to get Maggie and Molly on video dancing!! Too cute!

Tagged: 4th folder, 4th pic

So, I've been guilted into blogging again. I guess as long as you people keep tagging me, I'll keep posting. This is Tucker, 2002, St. Louis - one of our 1st big snow falls. It was really fun living "up north" and having 4 seasons for a change.
I tag: Cheryl and Amanda (do y'all still read this boring blog?)

Maggie Talk

Kyle was reading Maggie the Bible story about Jesus walking on water. As we were marching to bed, they recapped the story for me:

"What did Jesus do?"
Maggie answered, "Helped Peter."
"Good. And what did He do before that?"
Maggie, "He walked on water!"
"And why can Jesus walk on water?"
Maggie, "I don't know." (pause) "Because He's a gooood walker!"

She is the cutest kid!! The other day and heard her say something during dinner, but didn't catch the words. I asked her what she needed and she said, "Nothing. I was just talking to my corn on the cob."
